Steven Washington of SWE Studio (he/him) is a Movement Master, Author, Recovery Advocate. Steven's lifelong love and a key foundation to his own spiritual fitness is 'movement'. He firmly believes our relationship with our body is vital for emotional, physical, and spiritual health.
Class Description
The practice of is a Pilates is a transformative form of exercise that combines fitness and body awareness. It is a mind–body experience that focuses on strength, core stability, flexibility, muscle control, posture and breathing. The ancient Chinese practice of qigong has long been a branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Qigong combines flowing movements, standing postures, deep breathing, and focused intention to activate, cultivate, and circulate life force energy. This workshop fuses two gentle, mindful movement modalities that build power in the center of the body, balances the emotions, and calms the busy mind. It will assist you in the deeply joyful and meaningful process of reinforcing the mind/body connection as well as becoming more skillful at managing your energy.
** The workshop will last 1 hour and 15 minutes. Participants should bring a yoga mat (if possible) and 1 large bath towel. **
